Let me tell ya, my time with Karen has been nothing short of fantastic! She's super honest and genuinely cares about getting you the best results. I had a really disappointing time at Aesthetics Lab, mainly because of their shady practices, prioritizing their profits over customer satisfaction. I went in hoping to refresh my skin, and the consultant (I think her name was Caroline) convinced me that Radiofrequency was the best option for me. She painted it as a miracle treatment with zero downtime and no side effects, so in no time, I was out of there with a package of 6 sessions. After just 2 treatments, I noticed my skin looking lackluster, and new lines popped up on my forehead and around my eyes. This got me worried, so I Googled the side effects of radiofrequency and found out that one of the worst ones is facial fat loss! I tried to switch to a different treatment (noting their no cancellation policy) because I didn’t want to mess up my skin further. Caroline reassured me that those new lines were just temporary and insisted there was no way radiofrequency could cause fat loss (she claimed it was scientifically impossible). I was doubtful, but my husband was there and said if she says it’s all good, then I should chill. I completed the treatment course but kept seeing my face getting thinner. I even brought it up with my practitioner Lucia, who asked if I had lost weight recently. I waited 3 months for some positive changes, but my face just kept aging. My cheeks flattened, my eyes looked hollow, and I lost volume in my chin. I consulted a doctor in my area, and he told me that facial fat loss can occur with radiofrequency if your skin isn’t thick enough, as the heat can melt the fat. It’s rare, but it does happen. Plus, I was convinced I needed the same treatment on my neck (which is usually done on delicate necks for folks over 45!) to get rid of my neck rings. I can show you photos to prove I didn’t have visible neck rings before, but now I do! Honestly, my neck is what freaks me out the most; it looks super creepy in pictures, like the skin got thinned out before it could heal. I get that the ladies at Alab were trying to sell me something, but I trusted them like they were medical experts, and being dishonest about the potential damage of a treatment is just wrong. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy, and I hope my review helps other women my age who are looking to rejuvenate their skin. This treatment has led to fat loss and thinner skin. I’ve consulted several medical professionals, and they’ve told me the damage is irreversible. My only choices now are to either accept my new look or get dermal fillers to regain the lost volume. I just turned 30. Please be cautious about who you trust and make sure to do your homework.
